We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Relay Resources as our Accessibility Partner for this year’s Shining Stars event!
Together, we’re creating an event experience where access and belonging are at the center. With Relay’s partnership, this year’s event will include an Accessibility Station, sensory break rooms, sensory bags, interaction pins, a pet relief area, wheelchair reserved seating, and live captioning to support all guests.
Additional accessibility features will include:
- ASL interpreters and screen captioning
- Assistive listening devices
- Sensory relief break rooms and sensory bags
- Sunflower lanyards to support guests with nonapparent disabilities
- Dedicated accessibility staff on-site
Relay Resources is a social enterprise nonprofit and a leading disability inclusion partner in the Pacific Northwest. Their work helps organizations build more inclusive workplaces and communities, and we are grateful for their guidance in making Shining Stars a more accessible and welcoming event for all. We’re also especially proud to share that a former Serendipity Center staff member — now part of the Relay Resources team — continues to support our mission as a member of our Board of Directors. This full-circle connection makes this partnership even more meaningful.
