How your gift to Serendipity’s Four Pillar Fund will be used:

We use Four Pillar Fund contributions to make sure every student has the comprehensive, layered support they need to thrive. Your contributions also allow us to innovate new programs, pay our hard-working staff, purchase technology and supplies for our classrooms and labs, and adapt our programs to meet constantly-evolving COVID-19 protocols.

We apply gifts from the Four Pillar Fund to support areas of greatest need. Here are a some examples of the programs and services made possible by Four Pillar Fund donors:

Education Pillar

  • Gifts to the Fund allow us to add staff like coaches and behavior specialists, who provide enhanced services and to students experiencing the greatest obstacles to learning
  • School and art supplies for all students
  • Specialized curriculum for our students’ specific needs

Mental Health Pillar

  • Individual case management and mental health counseling
  • Art therapy and mindfulness training
  • Parallel instruction on critical social skills and emotional regulation throughout the day

Transition Pillar

  • On-campus apprenticeships
  • Our social/emotional learning curriculum helps students prepare to navigate society with contextually aware adaptable strategies.
  • Scholarships to aid our students in navigating the larger world, such as new clothes for transitioning back to a home district, a bicycle for job transportation, furniture for a graduate moving into her first apartment, continuing education classes, and more.

Wellness Pillar

  • Food, utility, clothing, transportation, and rent assistance to families in need
  • Regular and seasonal events creating ceremony, ritual, and celebration of growth
  • Our annual senior service project, designed to build philanthropy and community awareness by learning about food scarcity, food banks, and poverty

Learn about more ways to give:

“I learned some very important things about myself, but the main thing is I learned to give back. I learned how to be a hard worker, how to teach others, how to self-examine, and so much more. If I was not in the class I’m in , and if I hadn’t been in the garden, I wouldn’t be in school. I will continue to grow. When I accomplish my goals, it will be because of this school and especially because of my teachers.”
