Educating & Empowering Special Needs Youth
Serendipity provides individualized instruction and adaptive learning opportunities to students of all abilities, giving those who have struggled in traditional classroom settings the opportunity to experience academic engagement and success as part of a collaborative school community. We nurture, educate, and empower children with specialized needs aged 5 through 21. By tailoring our curriculum and instruction to each student’s individual learning needs, we are able to help our students realize success, often for the first time.
At Serendipity, we use a trauma-informed lens along with evidence-based, individualized instruction to foster student growth. We believe that our students do well if they can, and it is our job to help them develop the skills they need to succeed. We see each and every day as an opportunity to build relationships and overcome challenges.

Staffed by Experienced Educators and Mental Health Professionals
The success of our educational program is rooted in our dedicated team of experienced Teacher-Counselors. At Serendipity, students benefit from a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who provide academic instruction and assistance, as well as social, emotional, communication, and behavioral support. Through individualized and small group instruction, hands-on activities, and applied projects, our students experience academic success and exceptional social growth. By incorporating Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports (PBIS) as a school-wide model, we strive to prepare our students to be respectful, responsible, and safe citizens of our community.
Accredited and Approved
Serendipity is approved by the Oregon Department of Education and by the Washington State Superintendent of Instruction to provide educational services to students with disabilities. In addition, Serendipity is accredited by Cognia, meaning that credits earned in Serendipity’s High School classes can be applied toward modified diploma requirements and some toward standard diploma requirements.
