We are very happy and for you to meet Rachel and introduce her to you, our supporters and friends. Our Executive Director Mark Takehara notes that “We are very excited that Rachel is joining the Serendipity team as its next Director of Development. Rachel’s brings a wealth of development experience working with a variety of local organizations including Legacy Health Foundation and OMSI.”
For over 15 years, Rachel Gitner has used a collaborative and creative approach to connecting funder dollars to impact. She was born in Portland, and has lived and fundraised in Boston, MA for the First Church of Christ, Scientist and in Baltimore, MD for the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.
Most recently, she developed and expanded the planned giving program at Legacy Health while cultivating and nurturing a variety of donor relationships, including community and corporate partnerships.
In her free time, she enjoys volunteering with Northwest Planned Giving Roundtable and the Rose City Park Playground Project. She also treasures the outdoors and spending time with her family, including her husband and 7 year old son, Boston terrier puppy, and two cats.
She is excited to help Serendipity Center create even deeper connections in our community while reaching its development goals.
